Dream....A Love Story

This was such a beautiful layout to make for me! I was inspired by XOXO Girls Challenge #8 sponsored by Snobby Walrus and Scraplifted the talented Jennifer. I used The Pink Ninja’s Prompt Prompt:#36 Dream a little- Technique: no pattern paper with Pink twist: buttons. I also incorporated Creative Prompts 4 U Challenge #13 Love Story.

Here is Jennifer's Layout, I stuck to it pretty close cause it totally worked with what I was looking for

"Dream"
Journaling "I never dreamed in a million years that I would have the family that I have today.I feel so blessed to call myself a mother and a wife. My children bring me a joy that I truly can't explain, it is like living life through them at he same time as experiencing my own. My husband gives me everything I need to exist, the love, respect, and appreciation. I never dreamed that one day I would have "that family", I never dreamed I could ever be so loved."
My lace was pretty big, so I folded it over to make a fake double trim, misted hearts and stars in the corner with my new mist!
Journal and folded ribbon close up
Made my own "bling" flourish with glossy accent and some new glitter!
I used some new embossing powder to color the chipboard letters and my new mist to color the artisan scroll

I really hope that you enjoyed the layout! Don't forget to check out my MOTHERS DAY RAK GIVE AWAY!

{SAS}sy Love Heard Round The World

Some of you may remember "The Incident" that occurred here a few weeks ago, and for those of you that are new here, let's just say it was probably the worst night ever for me! In a second, I lost almost my entire supply of some and most of others. I went to my {SAS}sy girls for support as I had a 2 day crop I was supposed to being going to and couldn't see myself making it. They were awesome, they offered amazing words of support and shared stories and make me feel SO much better that I not only went to my crop but got a lot done! I couldn't have asked for a better group of ladies to talk with! Little did I know, they had something up their sleeves! Today, delivered by my mail lady sent from ANGELS I received a box PACKED with scrappy goodness! I was moved beyond belief to the point I couldn't make words! Enclosed a note from the nicest store owner around Lauri explaining how the {SAS}sy ladies really wanted to help me rebuild and get me back on my feet! She is so PROUD as am I to be apart of a Message Board that has the most generous, selfless, caring people around! These ladies gave from their own supply, bought me new things and some chipped in for a gift certificate so I could pick my own things out...$100 worth! I am just stunned, overcome with a joy I can't explain!

I know most of you have seen Scrap Attack Scrapbooking's name all over my blog for challenges or Hauls or just random chatting.....I hope now you SEE just why I love this site SO MUCH! It isn't just a bunch of strangers, though we are, it is truly a family of friends who love and support and encourage each others talents and lives. You have no idea what joy I get from this site, though now I think you can see it!

Can you feel the {SAS}SY LOVE!

Grandma and Me

I have been staring at a layout by Dana to scraplift for the XOXOGirls Challenge #8 which is being sponsored by Snobby Walrus but couldn't figure out what I wanted to do. Then the Dolls over at the Design Dollies Blog set up the Color Challenge for Kraft and Bright Colors and my mojo kicked in! I decided I was gonna also incorporate their Elements Challenge which was a recipe for your layout.

***PLEASE NOTE: in my bright color frenzy I totally painted over my Kraft color so...hum maybe it will still qualify?

So Here is Dana's Layout that I scraplifted cause I am a rebel like that!

My Recipe was:
1) 3 Different Patterned papers, SAME manufacturer if possible (Sassafras)
2) A tag (my hidden journaling on top)
3) An UNCOLORED stamped image (I have two the crown and family)
4) RED ribbon(s) (wasn't sure if my trim counted so I added red ribbon on  my tag)
5) Something lime green (background paper)

"Grandma and Me"
Hidden journaling "July 2006 mommy and me went to California to visit, this is the very first time I got to meet my Grandma Marda"
This is My Step Mom Marda holding Noah when he was 7 months old, this was the very first day we got there and the very first time she had ever met her 1st Grandson!

All the red {was} brown but I kept thinking it looks so dull so I painted it forgetting it was supposed to be brown :/

Hope you like it!!! Remember to check out my Mothers Day RAK!!!

I want to remember this...

Scrap the Art had another great challenge this week for me to put my thinking cap on for! Challenge #6 'Hand with reflecting sphere' by M.C.Esher ca. 1935 had so many different ways you could run with it that I had to many ideas in my head! I decided to go with my first instinct which was reflection. I had a picture from Christmas 2009 sitting on my counter and got me thinking about how me and my sister are reflections of our mother. So I used the general color scheme and roundness of the sphere to make my layout. Rather simple for me but I like it! I used the April Kit from My Creative Scrapbook for this layout with a few of my own papers and flowers from my stash!

Noah's Testing for new Camo Belt decided and Graduation

Noah is our little Karate Master, his favorite quote is "That's some Master Kung Fu Sucka" from Kung Fu Panda...So imagine him kicking and chopping then throwing you a side glance and saying that!!! Here are a few pictures from his test...I was on the wrong setting so lots of my shots didn't come out and some a a little blurry but oh well!
Here they are supposed to be making a muscle...he is very confident in his muscle....can you tell?
Mr. White, Noahs first teacher telling him the good news...
This one is a little blurry but it is just SO CUTE! Mr White is telling him that he needs to work on bending his knee before and after a kick.
Here Mr. White is showing him exactly how he should kick (remember this)

Here are some pictures from his Graduation!
This is the jumping jack face :)
Edward, always makes himself at home during Noah's class...he is truly Noah's #1 fan!

Hum there Noah is doing his moves and what is that? He is doing his kick properly!!! YES I did my homework!!! Graduate with HONORS THANK YOU!
Daddy putting on Noah's new belt!!!
And just because I am a mom and feel like Edward was neglected please take a moment to look at this adorable "Classic Edward" Face, for those of you that know him...KNOW this is totally his signature look! (HUH?)
Thanks so much for reading, I promise some scrappy goodness tomorrow!

If not for the Rain, there'd never be a Rainbow

There was so much I wanted to do with this layout and luckily I got to do all of it!! This sketch and the prompts I had just really had my juices flowing! I used a sketch by Design Dollies as well as incorporated their Elements Challenge for a non-traditional item which is the blue clear plastic behind the photo, it is actually package that some stickers came in covered in Adirondack ink. I used Candy Shoppe Designs It's Raining It's Pouring Challenge as the theme for my layout and had a blast making my "rain". Creative Prompts Challenge #12 to "Change it Up" by altering an element on your page and so I altered my "sun" which was a white flower. I hope you like my take on these Challenges!!!
"If not for the Rain, there'd never be a Rainbow"
I Misted the top half of the page to give a bluish tent, then I put a row of dots of my adirondack ink on my non-stick craft sheet then used my blender to pick up the pattern of "raindrops" then I used my glossy accent to make dots randomly for an added raindrop effect.

I altered my flower with mists and perfect pearls to look like a sun.
I used a plastic bag that some stikers came in as a non-traditional element. I colored it with my Adirondack ink in the same color as the rain.

I thought only fitting to add a grassy scene at the bottom to show the other side of the rainbow :)

I hope you enjoyed it!
