I will always remember...When you were mine

I have always love the line “ I remember when you were mine” from the Dixie Chicks ever so popular song. It has been on a post-it note for as long as I can remember. I have always wanted to use it in a layout but never could quite get the layout to come together in a way that I wanted. It is a love song about a couple but to me it is about remembering love not necessarily lovers. When the XOXO Girls rolled out with their new DT the Lipstick Chicks I had a hard time chosing which I wanted to lift so I made a list. As I was inspecting each for the one that screamed at me, I came across “So happy he is mine” by April Hummert. In that moment I saw my layout…I was so excited to get started and create the layout that has been floating around in my head this whole time! And let’s face it, the wonderful prize provided by "Color Me Miki" doesn’t hurt the situation at all ;)
