First Day of School

We decided to put the boys into a summer program for school at a church so that they could learn new things and get some good old socialization that they just arn't getting at home with me :( Yesterday was their very first day and let me tell you it was E-motionall! It started out great, they were both beyond excited to go!
We got there early so that I could walk each of them to each others room so they would know where the other one was. We visted the pond and checked out the 3 yes 3 different playgrounds!
Noah was first to get dropped off and Edward ran right in after him...Noah found his own name for his backpack and lunch and started playing...forgetting me :( I gave him a hug and kiss to take Edward to his room.
Edward got a little upset not wanting to leave Noah, but when I reminded him he was going to 'his' class he said "MY CLASS!!" and grabbed his bag and took off! We go to his room and he was in there lickity split no worries at all! I had to fill out some paperwork so he came to sit in my lap and show me the toys he found..When class time was ready he started crying when he realized I was leaving...I walked out listening to it...stood in the hall for 20 min crying listening to him before he and I both stopped...what a baby!- myself that is!
Noah's Class was in the gym when I arrived and no suprise at all I found him like this :
Notice him holding hands with the girl in the blue above...and below walking with his arm around her!!!! Like I said before...The Boy's Got Game!
I had to drag Noah tooth and Nail away from his "girlfriend Teke" who he has a date with Friday night at 6 aparently! We arrived to Edwards class peering throught the window like little peeping toms! I was beyond happy to see him sitting coloring with no sign of distress at all!
When we got to the door he was so excited to see us, my eyes welled up again....
Noah teacher said she was AMAZED he had never been in a class room before, he only had to be reminded not to run inside and that you don't' have to get every toy out at once...no biggy's there! Edwards teacher said he was such a sweet tempered boy and extremely well behaved for his age!!! (what!?) So imagine my relief, my joy, my amazement to find that both my boys did great, behaved and even had fun doing it!! I am a proud mommy to say the least!!!

MIA, Make-over, Mega Picture Overload

Not making any excuses but there has been a hault to the Scrapping at the casa this last week..my hubby best friends father passes and with them coming in town, the emotional drainage that surrounds a death and the domino effect of thought of losing your father, then to losing a parent in general, and of course then to your kids you leave behind lets just say I had a moment...a 7 day moment...but I woke today determined to scrap! Though i had a million things to do I have yet to get my hands on anything I have cleared my agenda am making sandwiches for dinner and scrapping the night away!

I tend to let go of "the plan" and get crazy with impulse during and following these "moments" we had ice cream for lunch...ran around with underwear on our heads...took naps at the park(mommy slept with her eyes open ), drew permanent marker mustaches and went to walmart. It is all about living in the moment if you didn't notice...Then I decided to take a deep breath...cut 10 inches off my hair and go blond well..blond-ish...hows that for impulse?
Before
(not a great picture but shows color/legnth)
After
-it is really a lot lighter than the pics
So as Spring/Summer rules state -must spend all hours possible in water...we the good little rule followers we are obeyed with flying colors! While out at Uncle Donnie and Sherry's Moms house the boys got in the sprinklers with Aiden!

Back here, Ava came for her weekly stay and Aunt Amber forgot her bathing suit so..not wanting upset the Rule makers of Summer we slapped some undies and a t-shirt on her and headed outside!
Being the sweet little angel she is, Ava decided to teach Edward a lesson in Manners
Ladies First!!!!!
Noah had takin up relaxing on the slide so Edward decided to launch an attack to re-gain control of the slide.
Operation Tickle was in full effect!!
While I will agree now, it does look as though they are strangling each other..I assure you screaming "tickle tickle tickle" and constant laughing didn't worry me one bit at the time!
Mommy decided to launch an attack of her own...the kind kids love! Operation Raining Water! They made their stand with a "united" front
It didn't take long for them to realize Evil Empress Mommy was much stronger than anticipated! Empress called a 3 second cease fire to which they quickly dispersed leaving"every man for themselves"
Before they could get themselves together Operation Raining Water was back on in full force...they scrambled to escape!
In the end only Edward was able to escape the Evil Empress Mommy! Noah and Ava quickly thew in the towel (or in this case asked for one) and pledged their undying alledgance and love to ME MUWAHHAAA!

Not making any promises but tomorrow there should be some scrappy goodness posted! I am off to get started!

A trip to the pond and backyard pool fun!

Yesterday, Ava came to visit and we took a journey to a cemetery up the street that has the most beautiful duck pond and tree's around! I love it there, the geese and ducks have no fear and walk right up to you...unfortunately Ava did not like them to much so we didn't get to play with them as usual but the kids didn't mind climbing in the old tree! We walked around the pond exploring the kids had the best time it was so fun to watch...one of those "glad to be a mom" moments.
Today I strained every muscle in my mouth and then some I didn't know I had blowing up the kids new pool since last year we broke the pump and who wants to spend $20 on a pump for one time? The boys had such a blast splashin and laying back in the cool water! It was so hot I had to turn the water hose on mist and have it continually spray them..which of course they LOVED!

When Motherhood STINKS-Literally...

Edward our 2 1/2 yr old has been using the potty for 6 months now, he has been poopin for about 3 months and fully potty trained with no accidents and diaper free for just over a month. Yesterday during Noah's Karate class Edward kept saying he had to pee, Robert spent a good 10 min back there comes out and says nothing...then almost instantaneously he says MOM PEE! So being the type that won't say "oh well you should have held it" I walk him back there. Now being a mother you know when something is wrong, and after only a minuet in there I knew something was wrong...I was just wrong about the "something". He was all over the toilet, turning trying to sit, stand, pee like a dog...and kept whining so I immediately thought he can't pee, he must have a Urinary Track Infection. I walked out and told Robert "We need to stop and get some Cranberry Juice on the way home so I can get it in him before it gets bad" and I called and left a message for the Doc.

So we get home and he seems better as we put on their new favorite movie, he only wants to lay on me so luckily we were only having left overs so daddy heated them all up. We had several "bathroom" runs to with no results so I continued giving him the cranberry juice which luckily he drank without issue. He is now naked as i got tired after the 5th time putting back on his outfit and sitting on my lap. I am against the arm of the couch, he is sitting sideways laying over it and I was rubbing his back. He started to whine so I started to pat his bottom, as yes I still do it like he is a baby when he doesn't feel good, in the second he turned to wrap his arms around my neck, screamed and then IT HAPPENED. I could all but scream "help" as hot, sticky, runny diareah filled and over flowed my hand. Not wanting to upset him even more as he was still screaming "NO NO NO" not understanding, I jumped up just as Robert grabbed him and ran off to the bathroom.

So there I stood a hand and shirt full of diarrhea...I quickly washed my hand and threw my shirt in the sink, and ran to the bathroom to help. While I wanted to vomit and sulk in the kitchen about just being pooed on I had a very upset little boy who was still screaming "NO, NO" that needed me. I took over for Robert and sat there wiping him down as more still came out, I encouraged him telling him he "had to get the boo-boos out". He was so upset, "I don't poop mommy, I don't poop" he didn't understand how it was coming out and thought he was doing something wrong. So I jumped into cheerleader mode, and just then Noah (the best brother) comes to help cheer him on. We clapped and chanted "Get it out Edward Let it out" so that he knew it was ok and it took his mind off of it. He slowly began to understand what was happening as Noah courageously explained what 'diarrhea' was.

We spent the night on and off the toilet as he didn't quite understand that diarrhea has a sneak attack. Luckily there was a few diapers still under the sink so I put one inside some underwear and slipped it on without him realizing it. It was a LONG night but at least it is over...

Are you serious?....and the cutest kids ever.

As I have told you before I am applying for the design team at Scrap Attack Scrapbooking so I have been super busy making layouts and then making more because I didn't like the ones I made. Then I decided I should go with my first instinct and use the first ones I did but then my loving husband decided to tell me after I had settled it and planned to go to bed early for once that his favorite was from the second set that I did :/ are you serious?

So after losing my mind for the last day trying to decided which 4 to choose, I take a trip out to my sisters house so that she can help me choose the best ones to submit. We sit there for an hour looking them over, and we settle it going with three of the originals and yes I am a great wife my husband favorite... I am getting up to head out the door and she says " Well I kinda like the "_________" one, it is super secret...::some crazy spy stuff going on:: (Que mission impossible theme) I turn and look at her and say "are you serious?"

The entire ride home I am mumbling to myself which in it self is dumb why mumble when no one can hear you? Screaming at least it would make me feel better....I decide that I like each of them for different reasons and each is just as important and special to me as the next which is why it is so hard for me to pick one...I love them all. To me scrapbooking is not about what you do it is how it makes you feel while doing it. It is not about other people's comments, though I admit I am like a crack addict checking my email waiting for someone to leave me some love...but it isn't about what they think what matters is what I think.

I used to find I would look at a page and say "I wish I could have_____ different" or "I can totally see where I screwed_________up" now I still notice where the glue ran over or the page tore just a little but I don't focus on it..I focus on the moment in the picture, the memory that the layout is screaming at me. After all, in the end 30 year from now, when you look through your photo album and say "I wonder what we were all all laughing about" I will laughin so hard I am snorting because my layout tells a story that a picture never could...

So I know your fingers and toes are cramping by now, but please keep them crossed....I am trying to upload everything tonight, we will know May 1st at the latest who makes the list.....

So since you can't see anything I have been working on I decided to give you some eye candy of the male persuasion...don't get to excited ladies...they are WAY to young for you!!! But handsome devils never the less...

These pictures were just quick shots outside while playing...Noah is a ham and loves the camera, Edward on the other hand kept looking everywhere but at me...he just kept saying "No Mom". Nevertheless I think I got some great shots and don't tell me otherwise as I will just tell you that you're jealous!!! Just kidding..or am I?

Up first for those of you who don't know is Noah he is 4 years old and is about as dramatic as they come. He is an entertainer and a definite ladies man, fair warning he will put the moves on you :/ He is forgetting more and more everyday how to be a little boy and is growing into a little man :( Though we are not putting all our eggs in one basket he is our front runner so far for a Fortune 500 company owner, he is super smart and loves to learn.

Next is Edward, he is 2 years old dubbed "bruiser" as he is always falling, jumping, skidding, climbing, breaking something he shouldn't be and 9 x out of 10 has a bruise to prove it. He is the toughest little man you'd ever meet yet loves to cry to his momma every chance he gets...ah my little mamma's boy!

So I hope this appeases you until I can get some layouts that are not classified information (que mission impossible theme) up for your enjoyment..I am currently setting my eyes on the Scrap the Art challenge and will poke around for some other good stuff!
